It is essential to have specialist representation at Traffic Commissioner Hearings as their powers are far reaching including the suspension or revocation of professional licences for even minor road traffic contraventions
Conduct Hearings:
The traffic police are now routinely reporting minor road traffic offences including speeding offences, mobile phone use and tachograph infringements to the Traffic Commissioner as they take the view that there can be serious dangers where a vocational driver commits these offences while driving a commercial vehicle such as LGV and PCV. The Traffic Commissioner will almost inevitably fix a Conduct Hearing where your licence could be suspended or revoked for what otherwise might only have led to a minor endorsement such as 3 penalty points on your licence.
It is vitally important therefore to contact us as soon as you receive a fixed penalty from the police for such offences, as a failure to defend these may prejudice your conduct hearing where the matter is referred to the Traffic Commissioner.
